Wood chipper

A wood chipper is a special mechanical equipment mainly used to chip logs or wood blocks into elongated thin slices or into small pieces. Such machines play an important role in industries such as woodworking, pulp and wood product manufacturing

Wood chippers work by placing logs or pieces of wood into the work area and using a rotating cutter or cutterhead to chip the wood into thin slices or small pieces of the desired shape. The design of the chipper makes it suitable for processing a variety of wood, including softwood, hardwood and wood waste

Application areas:
  • Pulp production: Wood chips are one of the main raw materials for pulp production.

  • Wooden panel manufacturing: Used to manufacture particleboard, particle board and other wooden panels.

  • Biomass Energy: Wood chippers are also used to produce wood pellets as raw material for biomass energy
